Why This Niche?

At Kitsy Rose PR, we make a point to know what the media wants; we stay ahead of trends, and we love every minute of it. We go the extra mile for reporters in order to deliver quality services and products for our clients, and the press knows they can count on us to deliver.

We don't believe in "being a jack of all trades" in the world of PR. Kitsy Rose has experience with a number of consumer and lifestyle brands, and has spent years developing her skills, contacts and resources within the fashion sector of public relations. The media values its relationship with her and has come to recognize Kitsy Rose PR as one of their premier "go to" sources for fashion, style, beauty, health and fitness.

Kitsy Rose

She's California-born, Miami-raised, North Carolina- and Alabama-schooled — but she's all Atlanta when business calls. From shopping bags to gym bags and from room service to spa service, Kitsy Rose has given anything but "lip service" to her clients. Rather, she's worked to make them the talk of the town!

Her namesake company, Kitsy Rose PR, took root in August 2006 and has since grown to include more than 10 clients. Retail and lifestyle clients comprise much of the roster, all bearing unique styles and stories that add to Atlanta's eclectic fashion and retail landscape.

Rose credits her career growth to the eight years she spent in agency PR, where she honed her craft with local and national brands while developing invaluable relationships in the media. As a senior account executive at Atlanta-based KC Public Relations, Rose managed campaigns fit for boutiques and retail centers, from Sage to Simon Malls; as well as for accommodations and motivations, from Westin Hotels & Resorts to Wellbridge Health Clubs. An array of well known restaurants also whet her appetite, including Spice Restaurant and The Palm. Rose's expertise spanned from the corporate world — in managing national corporate branding programs -- to her true passion: fashion, style and boutique clients.

For her clients, Rose has garnered attention in media outlets such as USA Today, CNN Lucky Magazine and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. She's done it not only through targeted and creative tactics, but also through a thorough understanding of the messenger. This insight stems from her early experience reporting for a local daily newspaper.

Rose graduated with a degree in journalism from the University of Alabama and stole abroad for additional education in Greece.

She is proud to support organizations such as Susan G. Komen and Share Our Strength, and will happily dish on the best bites among Atlanta's many restaurants.

Melissa Hightower

Also returning to her Southern roots is Melissa Hightower, whose experience in the retail and bridal arenas, among others, has created a perfect marriage of industry and media expertise for her to deliver to clients.

Hightower and Kitsy Rose joined forces in July 2007, combining agency experience, national brand knowledge, and their shared enthusiasm for fashion, style and helping businesses grow. Prior to joining Kitsy Rose PR, Hightower ran her namesake company, Hightower Public Relations, where she led publicity campaigns for a range of clients, from restaurants to fashion designers. For her relationships with the latter, Hightower also provided wholesale consultation for those forming a structure to attract retail buyers.

Before launching her own agency, Hightower was the public relations and marketing manager for renowned bridal designer Melissa Sweet. There, Hightower called upon merchant clients including Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus in addition to driving publicity campaigns for the company. Hightower also was a personal shopper for New York-based Henri Bendel, where she worked one-on-one with celebrities, couture designers, studios and stylists.

For her public relations clients, Hightower has secured key placements in media outlets including the magazines InStyle, Lucky, Martha Stewart Living and Brides. She also has landed television product placements and personal appearances, including on "Oprah," NBC, TLC, Oxygen and Lifetime Television.

Hightower graduated with a degree in fashion design and marketing from Bauder College. She is a supporter of Atlanta Pet Rescue and Adoption, and Susan G. Komen for the Cure. And she doesn't hesitate to mix business with pleasure when it comes to—what else—shopping.
